Essential oils are volatile compounds (easily evaporable substances) found in aromatic plants and are those that give aromatic and healing properties to the plant. Today, essential oils are used mainly in perfumery and medicine, due to their distinctive smell. Their antimicrobial properties are known from years ago, but the most important of some plants is that they are a safety interlock at high temperatures, intense radiation and at drought in the summer season.
